Are you looking for ways to help teach behaviors within your school and celebrate the success and growth of your students? Then this is the presentation for you! In this session, you will learn how our team analyzes data to determine behavior needs of our school, and how lessons are developed and implemented school-wide to address those needs. We will also provide different ways that we celebrate and incentivize these areas of focus when they are met by our students. You will have time to collaborate with fellow colleagues on how you can implement this in your school and share ways that you focus on behaviors. We are all learners and want to hear from you as well!

• Attendees will learn how we evaluate school-wide data to determine behavior focus needs and how lessons are developed and implemented to meet those needs.

At SMS, we know that building relationships is key to the overall education of our students. To help strengthen our relationship building, we developed family time. Each week, our staff members meet with their families and engage in a variety of activities such as team-building, community service projects, character-building activities, and some friendly family competitions! Come learn more about these activities, how we built this time into our schedule, and the positive outcomes we have seen so far with our SMS families.

York Elementary school worked hard this year by focusing on improving their effective teaching and learning practices. Oak Grove Elementary has been working to combine our sustainable SW-PBS practices with Restorative Practice all while tailoring supports to meet the needs of all our students. By doing so, we have reduced undesired behaviors, almost eliminated the need for ISS, made additional connections with students, celebrated positive shifts in behavior, and provided students with strategies to adjust and cope with big feelings and self regulate. This implementation is the extra layer of support many buildings need and can help address the motivation behind the behaviors, create an approach to address and reteach the desired behavior all while holding students accountable. Come see how all of this fits into a regular school day and is made possible through simple and sustainable building practices.
